Tips When You Buy New Floors
1. Be on-site when your new floors arrive.
Verify they are the correct collection and color BEFORE installing the floors. Mistakes happen to the best companies and manufacturers, so double-check that the floors are the proper product.
Do not open the boxes or install the product if it is not what you ordered.
WARNING:
If the floors are the wrong product and you install them or open all the product boxes, the manufacturers may not (or cannot) take them back or give you credit.
2. Review the installation guide for your flooring product before installation starts.
Ensure the installer is familiar with your floor choice and understands the installation requirements. It is better to be safe than sorry, so download a copy of the installation guide from the manufacturer before proceeding.
3. Read the manufacturer’s maintenance and warranty guide for your product.
The maintenance guide provides instructions on how to maintain your new floors. If you don’t clean the floors according to the manufacturer’s specifications, it may void your manufacturer’s warranty.
4. Register your floors with the manufacturer.
It may help you if an issue arises.
